Funny seeing you here, welcome to the Journal!
As a lover of scrawling down all of my thoughts in barely comprehensible cursive, this space was a long-time coming. I couldn’t be more over-the-moon that it’s finally here!

Although it’s in a digital form, you can imagine this space as a messily handwritten journal of my thoughts, turned into a helpful corner of the internet. I’ve been inspired by the great early-2000’s columnists (Andie Anderson, Carrie Bradshaw, and Rebecca Bloomwood) to open up a space where I answer honest questions about all things design, including branding and web, alongside other creative musings.

In my 8 years as a graphic designer, the majority of the clients I’ve collaborated with have never worked with a designer, let alone been through the branding process before. I delight in being able to walk people through the process and offer education on all of the exciting ins and outs of design. But sometimes you don’t know what questions to ask, or you simply want some tidbits of info before jumping in, this space is for you! Chill, honest big-sister style, educational help from someone who started her business in her early twenties and has learned A LOT!

In this corner, you’ll also learn more about me! A long-time designer, but we’ll dig into other ways creativity permeates my life, and how that impacts the way I run my business. I’m a knitter, reader, playlist-curater, and wholehearted lover of art. You should know and trust the designer whose hands you place your brand in, and fortunately for you, I’d love to chat and tell you more.

To get on my soapbox for a second, I love that in a busy, fast, dopamine-filled world, you would take the time to slow down with me and enjoy some good old-fashioned writing. There are a handful of Substacks I enjoy reading like my morning newspaper, so the honour that you’d read what I have to say, is not lost on me.
